We’re delighted to welcome Elia to our sales team! Since September 2025, he’s been working remotely as a Senior Sales Manager, bringing his extensive experience from both the hotel and software industries. To help you get to know our new team member, we asked him a few questions, as we always do when someone new joins HotelNetSolutions.
Elia, where are you from and what did you do before HotelNetSolutions?
I’m a native Berliner, but I grew up between the Baltic Sea and East Westphalia. In 2004, my hotel management training brought me back to the Baltic coast. My aunt, who was working on the AIDA cruise ship at the time, was to blame. I never actually went on board, but the hotel industry captivated me immediately. I had the opportunity to work in various hotels across Germany and got to know the industry from every angle. A true hotel kid through and through.
My foray into software sales came in 2015 through review management. At the time, it was a completely new topic in the hotel industry and an excellent training ground for sales and customer relations. Since then, I’ve worked for various companies, all focused on the hotel industry, from tourism specialists and accountants to those specializing in PMS systems. Each step has given me new perspectives and honed my sales skills.
What appeals to you about HotelNetSolutions and what tasks do you undertake with us?
The perfect combination of company size, culture, work ethic, and premium product. Here, I can contribute everything I’ve learned so far: contacts, experience, and ideas. I’m thrilled to be able to do just that at HotelNetSolutions. As Senior Sales Manager, I support the sales team: acquiring new customers, expanding our network, and representing HotelNetSolutions at trade fairs and events. Everything related to hotels, people, and excellent solutions.
What should we know about you outside of work?
My family comes first. I’m a dad to three wonderful girls between the ages of 3 and 11. They make me laugh every day and give me a few new gray hairs. Sports are also a big part of my life: from half marathons and mountain bike tours in the Alps to tennis and billiards. At home, I’m a keen gardener and DIY enthusiast. I love starting projects and trying out new tools.
