Marketing can do a lot. Especially if you know what you’re doing. It’s a good thing that Janica knows what she’s doing – and has recently joined the HotelNetSolutions marketing team. Her official job title? Junior Marketing Manager. Unofficially? CRM wizard, text whisperer, brand contributor. And a bit of a structure guru with Club Mate in her hand.
We asked Janica a few questions – about her path to us, what she’s up to at HNS and why you rarely find her without a notebook or playlist.
Hi Janica! Who are you, where are you from – and how did you end up with us?
I was born in Berlin and live in Reinickendorf. I studied Business Communication at the HTW Berlin. I already worked in performance marketing during my studies, but I was missing the creative component. I didn’t just want to optimize campaigns, I also wanted to help shape content and strategically develop brands.
And what convinced you of HNS?
The mix! I wanted a job that was analytical AND creative. At HNS, I can write, design and plan campaigns – and at the same time work on the brand strategy. I also liked the atmosphere right from the start: at eye level, relaxed, but high-quality and with high standards.
What are you doing here specifically?
All topics relating to communication and appearance: newsletters, blogs, social media, trade fairs, team events. I attach great importance to good content and clear structures. I like things to run clearly, efficiently and sensibly. And when I see that something could be done even better, I like to tackle it, because it’s the details that make the difference for me.
And when you’re not optimizing concepts?
Then I listen to music – usually folk or Taylor Swift. I like to read fantasy, I love doing sport, I eat a vegetarian diet and I have a slight club mate addiction. I like it healthy, clear and a bit nerdy. And I can’t do things by halves – either completely or not at all.

What else should we know about you?
I am creative, a quick learner and think strategically. I love good language and even better ideas. I work in a focused, principled and conscientious way – without losing my sense of fun. Structure doesn’t bring me down, it makes me better. And I am convinced that good communication starts with attitude. The rest is craft.
