That’s all over now. With just a few clicks, you can also bring the prices for packages and arrangements into the pre-Christmas spirit. We take advantage of a practical fact: many packages don’t calculate their price themselves, but rather base it on a rate type – usually their base rate. That’s exactly where RateTuner comes in.
If you adjust the base rate in RateTuner for specific days, all associated arrangements will automatically use the new value. This applies to the exact period you define. For December, this means in practice: you can enter a fixed surcharge, a percentage surcharge – or even a clearly defined fixed price if you want to set the price level for specific days independently of the payment plan.
In HotelControl, this process always follows the same pattern: You select a date or period, define the rate types for which the rule should apply, and define the desired pricing logic. Once you save, the system automatically calculates the rates for the packages associated with these rate types – without any manual adjustments, without opening each package individually, and without duplication of effort. After the end date, the logic automatically reverts to the original price.
This is a significant relief, especially for hotels that offer many seasonal packages – from wellness weekends to New Year’s Eve getaways. A single step in RateTuner is all it takes, and the entire holiday program reacts smoothly and consistently.
