We spoke with Katrin Kring, Head of Yield & Revenue, about what makes the hotel so special, how modern technology supports daily work, and what role a strong direct booking strategy plays.
What makes Hotel Deimann so special? After all, you were awarded Hotelier of the Year in 2025.
The close connection to the guests, the attention to detail, and the strong family bond. When you personally attend to the guests, you learn directly about their needs. At the same time, they are our most important inspiration for new ideas. A current example is our lakeside terraces, which fulfill many guests’ desire for a personalized retreat in a modern atmosphere. It’s also exceptional that all three children have entered the hotel business with dedication and success and are now running the establishment together.

We’ve been working with OnePageBooking and the RateDistributor channel manager for over three years now. It was important to us that we could effectively showcase our diverse offerings. In a comparison of the fiscal years 2022 and 2025 alone, we were able to generate around 1800 additional bookings via our own booking system.
