They say that every new beginning has its own magic – and Lara is the best example of this. With a bulging rucksack of experience, despite her young age ☺️, an irrepressible thirst for knowledge and a healthy dose of adventure, she is now starting out at HotelNetSolutions. But who is Lara and what makes her special?
From the zoo to the digital world
Lara’s journey began in Croatia, where she grew up and discovered her passion for the hotel industry. Between 2015 and 2019, she learned the basics of the industry at tourism school before immersing herself in the field. Her stations took her through the most diverse areas of the catering and hotel industry – until she finally got a taste of the support sector in 2021.
But her fascination with reception remained, and so Lara ended up at the Motel One Upper West at Berlin Zoo. Here she worked her way up to the position of Front Office Supervisor – always with a smile on her lips and the will to make the best of every situation.
Now she is drawn to new areas: “It’s a new challenge for me to start something new and unfamiliar, and I love challenges.”
Support with a heart ♥️ and a brain
At HotelNetSolutions, Lara will start in support and bring her expertise from the hotel industry to the digital world. She is looking forward to delving deeper into the subject matter and quenching her thirst for knowledge. Because that’s exactly what drives her: learning, growing and getting a little better every day.
Gamer, anime fan and nature lover
But Lara is much more than just a motivated colleague. In her free time, she likes to immerse herself in fantastic worlds – whether it’s with a controller in her hand, watching anime or between the pages of a fantasy novel.
When she’s not climbing new gaming levels, she loves to explore the world. Travel and nature are very important to her – no wonder she appreciates Berlin with its many green corners so much. And when she just wants to retreat? Then her two cats are waiting for her, because Lara is a proud “cat mom” .
Adrenaline junkie and adventurer
In addition to her love of travel and nature, Lara has a soft spot for thrills. One experience she particularly remembers was a helicopter flight over New York – a moment that made her adrenaline junkie heart beat faster.
“I really want to try skydiving and paragliding in my life,” she reveals with shining eyes. And as a self-confessed rollercoaster lover you could say: the higher, faster and more exciting, the better!
