A few weeks ago, our sales team welcomed two new colleagues. Alongside Benno, Sascha has joined us as Head of Sales. Find out in the interview why his start with us was so special and how he came to us.
Welcome to HotelNetSolutions, dear Sascha. A few weeks have passed since you started with us. What is your first interim conclusion?
I was warmly welcomed by the entire team and felt very comfortable right from the start. On the third day, we went straight to the ITB with some of our colleagues. My start couldn’t have been better. What’s more, I started out together with Benno. That made it a lot easier to find a like-minded person.😊
You have known HNS for a long time and come from the hotel industry yourself. What did you do before?
I was born in Berlin and have lived in London, Hamburg and Usedom. Before HNS, I worked in sales for a software partner for over five years. It all started with my training in the hotel industry, which paved the way for my subsequent journey through this special world. I was able to gain extensive experience in a wide variety of areas and got to know many interesting and influential people. Friendships have often developed.
So you’ve done everything right. What excites you about the new job?
I like being in contact with players, friends and partners in the hotel industry. I am excited by the new challenge at HotelNetSolutions and look forward to working together to successfully shape the future of the industry. I am particularly looking forward to winning new customers and convincing them of the strengths of our system. I would like to support existing customers and invite them to develop further with us.
What tasks will you take on as Head of Sales?
Together with my great sales team, consisting of Jasmin, Peggy, Patrick & Benno, I am able to further develop existing customer relationships and acquire new customers. We are the first point of contact, presenting and supporting our customers. I want to be a mentor for my team in the best sense of the word and a reliable partner for the teams in the specialist areas.
I’m sure you’ll do very well.😊 What else do we need to know about you? How do you spend your free time?
I am definitely a family man and the proud dad of two boys. In addition to spending active time with my sons, I enjoy spending time with friends. Whether it’s at the stadium at the Alte Försterei, at the cinema, bowling, concerts or events – I’m open to everything.
So your hobbies are varied. Do you have any tips on where I should definitely go?
I can definitely recommend the Museum Barberini in Potsdam. I really enjoy the atmosphere there and get inspired. For me, it’s the perfect balance to the hustle and bustle of Berlin and the often stressful everyday life.
Thanks for the tip – it’s going straight on my list 😉 Do you have any other places you can recommend?
I really like the sea and the Baltic Sea. I usually spend the summer on Fehmarn. This year, however, it’s off to London. As I used to live there, I want to show my boys this special place.
That sounds like an exciting plan. Surely one word that would describe you is “diverse”?
You could say that. I stand for diversity, tend to see opportunities and like to laugh, because laughing makes you even more beautiful.😉
I couldn’t have found a better way to end the interview.😊Thank you very much for the interview. We are delighted that you are part of our sales team and wish you lots of fun and success in your new role.
