We are always happy to welcome new members to our team and are particularly curious: how was their start with us and what else should we know about them? Today it’s Selina’s turn, who recently joined our support team.
Welcome, dear Selina. I would now like to congratulate you on four weeks of HotelNetSolutions. 😊 I hope you’re still as happy as we are. How was your start with us?
My start at HNS was very exciting. As I come from Essen, in the beautiful Ruhr region, and will also be working from home from there, I came to Berlin for my training. It was two intensive but also very nice weeks in the capital city. 😊
So the big city flair is nothing new for you. Did you also have a little time for sightseeing in Berlin?
As I’ve been to Berlin many times, I already know a lot of it. At the weekend, I went to see some of the obligatory sights. Otherwise, I used the time after work to relax or work out in the gym. Every now and then I need some time on my own to recharge my batteries. Especially because life in Berlin is a bit more hectic than at home. 😉
So you made good use of the time. How did you actually come to HNS?
Before HNS, I worked in support at Protel, where I was responsible for the PMS interface to the channel managers. I have installed and supported these. As I was looking for a new professional challenge, the position of Project Manager in Support at HNS was just right for me.
So you already have technical know-how. What appeals to you about the job at HNS?
I am particularly excited by the diverse tasks in support and the new challenges. I’m looking forward to learning lots of new things. Of course, I’m also very excited about conducting training courses with customers myself and helping customers with all their concerns.
I’m sure you’ll master this with flying colors.😊 What else do we need to know about you outside of work?
I go to the gym about 3-4 times a week and do weight training, which is a great balance to work for me. Otherwise, I like to spend time with my dog Simon or play games on the console. Concerts are also my great passion. I like to go to concerts by my favorite singer and prefer to combine this with trips to other countries and even continents.
But now you have to tell me who your favorite singer is.😉
My favorite singer is Adam Lambert. He currently sings with Queen or with those members left of the band. I’ve been a fan for almost 15 years.
Wow, that’s what I call a real fan. Which countries did you travel to for the concerts?
I traveled a lot in Europe for the concerts. For example in England, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden. My longest journey for the concerts was to the USA. Here I was in New York, San Francisco and L.A. 😊
That really is a lot of places. I’m curious to see which other countries you’ll be visiting for concerts.
Australia is currently still on my bucket list. But more for the reason that I want to meet koala bears and kangaroos in the wild.
